Haul Roads Analytics
1. Description
The Haul Roads analytics allows you to automate the analysis of haul road conditions at a quarry or mine site, improving machine efficiency, productivity, and safety. The Haul Roads analytic uses geospatial data contained within the survey to generate the haul roads vector geometry and attributes. After the Haul Roads analytic has been processed, road boundaries, crests, and changes in length, slope, and elevation can be displayed and examined in the map view.
2. Inputs
Apart from the completion of a photogrammetry, no input is required to launch this analytic.
3. Workflow
Step 2 - Click on "LAUNCH".
Step 3 - Click on "LAUNCH HAUL ROADS"
4. Results
The Haul Roads analytic generates:
- Haul Road Boundaries
- Cross Falls & Cross Falls Breakpoints
- Road Grades
- Road Widths
4.1 Haul Road Boundaries
The Haul Road Boundaries or Envelopes represent a contiguous surface of the detected road.

4.2 Haul Road Cross Falls
Cross falls are displayed with colored bars across the haul roads. The color and the inclination of the arrows represent the slope. Clicking one of these bars enables the user to read and understand the width, grade, breakpoint, and change in elevation of the selected cross fall in the information panel.
4.3 Haul Road Grades
The grade of the haul roads can be displayed in a color scale based on the percentage of the grade. The legend can be modified based on the user's safety standards.
4.4 Haul road Widths
The legend of the road widths representation can be modified by creating a new style.
