Create a New Vector Layer from a subset of another Vector Layer
1. Description
Allow users to easily design new vector layers with corresponding features (line, point, polygon) to be used as analytics inputs, for visualization purposes, or to generate annotations for deep learning model training.
2. Prerequisites
Users have access to an open project of a company.
3. Workflow
Step 1 - On the layer panel, tick the box of a vector file and click on the "Activate / Disable: Geometry edition module" icon next to the name of your vector file.

If the vector layer is not selected the vector geometry edition module icon is not displayed.
Step 2 - Once in the geometry edition mode, select some feature with the lasso or by clicking on them.
Double-click to finish using the selection tool.
Step 3 - On the layer panel, click on the layer name to open the layer settings panel on the right, then click on the 3-dots buttons then select “Create layer from features”.
3. Results
The vector layer is created. It is located in the same group as the original one. Its name is “<original layer name> - subset”. If necessary use Aether features to:
