Data Management - Introduction
1. Description
The Data Management module is a central hub to consult and manage platform's datasets. In particular it enables to:
- List datasets across companies, projects, surveys…
- Search, filter, and sort datasets
- Rename data sets
- Delete datasets individually or in bulk (max 100 data sets)
- Generate packages (zip) from a selection of datasets
This module is included in the Enterprise license. For more information about how this workflow is used by utilities worldwide, please visit GE Vernova's website.
2. General Overview
Data Management is accessible from the left menu of the Aether platform.
The main screen is a dashboard listing latest datasets. Most of the actions are easily performed from this dashboard (browse, filter, export, download, delete…)
3. Roles
Domain Manager: Data Management is accessible by default to the Domain Manager role.
Other users:
- Data Management access can be granted to existing custom roles that are compatible with the Manager and User core roles.
- If you don't have custom roles yet or if your existing custom roles are not compatible with this module, two new custom roles can be added to your domain:
- "Data Manager" role:
- Compatible with the Manager core role
- Allows access to the Data Management module and to perform any actions on the manager's scope of company
- "Data User" role:
- Compatible with the User core role
- Allows access to the Data Management module and to perform any actions on the user's scope of company and projects
- "Data Manager" role:
To modify your existing custom roles or create new custom roles for your domain, please contact your sales representative.
