Data Retention and Recovery

Introduction

This article explains how deleted files, projects, and companies are retained in the platform, how long they remain recoverable, and how storage duration is calculated for billing purposes.

Individual File Deletion

When an individual file is deleted, it is moved to the bin and retained there for 30 days before being permanently removed from the system.

If a file was deleted by mistake, it may be possible to recover it during this retention period. Please contact the Support Team for assistance.

Project, Survey or Company Deletion

When a project, survey or company is deleted, it is moved to the bin and retained for 30 days.

If a project, survey, company was deleted accidentally, recovery is possible within 30 days following deletion. Please contact the Support Team for assistance.

Any files related to the deleted project, survey or company are permanently deleted 30 days later, meaning they are removed 60 days after the initial project, survey or company deletion.

Storage Billing

The storage period used for billing is calculated from the upload or creation date of the dataset until its permanent deletion from the system.

This means that the time a dataset remains in the bin is also included in the billed storage period.
