1. Description

This tool generates a less dense point cloud.

2. Prerequisites

Point cloud file

3. Workflow

Step 1 - In the "Analytics" tab in "TRANSFORMATION TOOL", search and select "Point cloud simplification" and click on "LAUNCH".

Step 2 - Select the "Point clouds" (1) and click on "NEXT STEP" (2).

Step 3 - Fill in the "Point density", expressed in point cloud units.

Step 4 - Click on "LAUNCH POINT CLOUD SIMPLIFICATION".

Step 5 - Click on "FINISH" to leave the analytics.

4. Status and Progression

Check in the "LAUNCHED" tab that the analytics is in progress.

Aether will notify‍‍ the user that the analytics results are available.

5. Results

Find In "BASE LAYERS" in the 3D Viewer‍ the "Point cloud Simplified" layer.

6. Deliverables

In the‍ "Download‍"  section find files issue from the analytics.
